Performing in our spring showcase is a commitment that requires your family to make dance classes/rehearsals a priority in spring scheduling. Please thoroughly read all the information below before making the decision to participate in our spring showcase. Showcase registration deadline is 8pm Saturday, February 22, 2025. Everyone must register through the portal. We will not accept emails or texts saying your dancer is participating. You must log in and register.

Dancers that choose not to participate in the showcase attend classes through Friday, April 18, 2025.
Budding Artists Note: Our spring showcase is different than a typical dance recital because our dancers sit in the audience with their family to watch the showcase. When it is their class’s turn to dance, Michelle will announce their class, and they will line up at the bottom of the stairs on the audience’s left that lead up to the stage. Once they are done performing, we ask that one caregiver meet them at the bottom of the stairs on the audience’s right to take them back to their seats. The showcase is roughly an hour long and 8 dances total.
Venue
Studio Chassé’s Spring 2025 Showcase will be held in the Horace Jefferson Scruggs III Auditorium at Fluvanna County High School on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
Two shows
Our Budding Artists showcase will begin at 1:00pm, with doors opening to the auditorium at 12:30pm. Our Youth through Advanced showcase will begin at 4:00pm, with doors opening to the auditorium at 3:30pm
Dress Rehearsal
Dress Rehearsal will be on Friday, May 16, 2025 at FCHS. Budding Artists will rehearse from 4:30 to 6:00pm. Youth through advanced classes will rehearse from 6:00 - 9:30pm
Showcase Registration
Parents must log into their studio portal and register for the spring showcase by 8 PM Saturday, February 22, 2025. At the time of registration you will pay for your dancers showcase costume. Instructions for registration are at the bottom of this page.
Showcase Rehearsal Tuition
Our spring showcase rehearsal tuition is auto-paid in two installments of $35 each on April 15th and May 1st for the rehearsals prepping for the showcase. Showcase tuition pays our instructors, rent & utilities for studio rehearsals, a portion of the venue rental fees (for use of the stage for dress rehearsals and the showcase), a lighting technician, janitorial staff, music purchasing/licensing, and programs.
Showcase Costumes
Budding Artist costumes are $40 and Youth-Advanced costumes are $45 (unless otherwise noted). Costume payments are due by February 22nd and are paid through the portal when registering online for the showcase.
Attendance
It is imperative that your dancer not only have good attendance during showcase rehearsals but also during classes in March and April. Dancers with excessive absences (more than 2) in March and April jeopardize their showcase eligibility, even after committing to performing. Those participating in the spring showcase are allowed one excused absence between Monday, April 21st and Friday, May 2nd. No absences are allowed after May 3rd. All rehearsals the week of the showcase (May 12 - 16) are mandatory - no exceptions will be made.

Committing to our Spring 2025 Showcase means you acknowledge and understand:

All studio/dress rehearsals must be made a priority in your family schedule April 21 - May 18, 2025. Excessive absences (more than 2) in March & April jeopardize your participation in our spring showcase.

One absence (per class) is allowed between April 21 and May 3, 2025.

All studio rehearsals scheduled for your class May 4 - 15, 2025 are mandatory.

Dress rehearsal on Friday, May 16, 2025 is mandatory.

You are agreeing that your dancer is able to make it to all scheduled studio rehearsals for their class Monday, April 21 - Thursday, May 15 AND dress rehearsal at FCHS Friday, May 16, 2025.

Your tuition for showcase rehearsals will be auto-paid in two installments: April 15th and May 1st.

No refunds will be given for costumes or tuition for any reason.

I understand that if my dancer does not know the choreography, due to absences and/or lack of focus, the choreographer has the right to pull them from the piece.
How to register for the spring 2025 showcase

COMMITTING TO THE SPRING SHOWCASE
Please log into our studio portal (desktop) or mobile app BEFORE 8pm Saturday, February 22nd and choose the classes your child is dancing with in the spring showcase. You will register in the portal/app just as you do for regular classes. Your costume payment is due at the time of showcase commitment/registration, and if you have past due tuition you must pay that amount before the system will let you register for the showcase.​ (Ensembles have already paid for their regular costume and will pay for their production number costume in late March.)

Note: Be sure to click on the correct showcase tab for your dancer. Your showcase registration is complete once you choose your classes, pay for your dancer's costume(s), AND receive a confirmation email.
