Youth through Advanced Program

Level placement is determined by director. For example, a middle schooler will not automatically be placed in a class labeled 5th grade and up. The grade listed is the minimum age for that class. Students 3rd grade and up will be placed according to strength, ability, maturity, and technique. Our Ensembles also follow this guide.

Modern/Ballet

Modern is a form of contemporary theatrical and concert dance employing a special technique for developing the use of the entire body in movements expressive of abstract ideas.

Students will be exposed to a variety of techniques including Graham, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Cunningham, Limon, and others. Through committed experimentation, students will push their boundaries of expression through movement and improvisation.
